There are 317 on death row in Texas, however the state only has enough of the lethal injection drug to execute 2 more inmates. ABC News has reported on January 27, 2011, that the state is looking for alternaties to handle the overflow. With the company that makes the drug now discontinuing it, Texas must wait to see how they will deal with the inmates already waiting on death row.
